Educational Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL:
1. Medical qualification included in 1sI or 2 nd schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act.
2. A Post Graduate qualification in any of the specialties of interest to the Institute.
DESIRABLE:
1. The applicant should possess an outstanding record of research in any branch of medical sciences as well as record of significant contribution to medical journalism.
2. A strong and demonstrated interest in the development and application of technology in the related areas.
3. Having management and administrative experience of a higher order and ability to interact with highly competent professionals in medicine, technology and industry.
Experience Required for Director Job in Thiruvananthapuram 2021:
1. Teaching and for Research Experience of not less than 12 years in the subject of specialization after the post graduate qualification.
2. 25 years standing in the profession.
Eligibility criteria for Recruitment on Deputation/contract:
Scientists or Academics or Technologists working in Central Government or State Governments or recognized Universities or Research Institutions or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations in India:
(a) Possessing the essential educational qualifications mentioned in para G and experience in para H above, and
(b) (i) holding analogous post; or (ii) with one year of service in a post in Level-If [corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale of the 6th CPC pay scale of Rs.75,500- 80,000/- (HAG +)] or equivalent; or (iii) with three years of service in a post in Level-I 5 [(corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale of the Sixth Central Pay Commission pay scale of Rs.67,000- 79,000/- (HAG)] or equivalent; or (iv) with seven years of service in a post in Level-I4 [corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale of the Sixth Central Pay Commission pay scale of Rs.37,400-67,000/- plus grade pay Rs.l0,000/- (SAG)] or equivalent.
Tenure of Appointment:
Not exceeding 5 years or on attaining the age of superannuation (65 years at present), whichever is earlier, as per decision of the competent authority.
Mode of Recruitment:
Recruitment for the post of Director shall be made by any of the following method(s):
(a) Direct Recruitment, or
(b) By Deputation, including short term contract, or (
c) Re-employment
Pay Scale – Director Job in Thiruvananthapuram 2021:
Equivalent to Level 17. Rs.2,25,0001- (Fixed) along with Non-Practicing Allowance at the rate of 20% of the Basic Pay and other admissible allowances at the Central Government rate: provided that the Basic Pay plus Non-Practicing Allowance shall not exceed Rs.2,37,500.
Age Criteria:
